Young man commits suicide in Lagos

Suicide
An unidentified young man took extreme measures bycommitting suicide and chose the most apt place to hang himself.
His body was discovered dangling from a tree close to the Lagos State Secretariat at Alausa area of the state, close to the Seven Up Bottling Company.

It was an eyeful as passersby beheld the body at about 7.30 am on Sunday, May 24, 2014, where the young man had hung himself with his belt.
It was only when the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), and the Lagos State Fire Service, arrived at the scene that the body was brought down.
The General manager of LASEMA, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the suicide of the young man who, according to him, was in his 30s:
"A middle-aged man hanged himself to a tree by 7up/Governor Road, Alausa, Ikeja. The body was recovered by LASEMA and handed to the police at Alausa Police Station."
The state Director of the Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe, also spoke on the strange find:
"The body of the young man was found dangling on the tree on Governor/Seven UP Road. Nobody knows why such a boy could kill himself. We cannot say whether he was hanged by unknown person or he actually committed suicide."
